Terms of Use

Last updated: August 22, 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern your access to the Nora Wallet website, browser extension, and related software or services. By using Nora Wallet, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms and comply with laws applicable to you. You may not use the Services where their use is prohibited.

3. Self-custodial service

Nora Wallet is self-custodial software. We do not hold your assets, initiate transactions without your request, or possess the credentials needed to recover your wallet. You remain solely responsible for your accounts, devices, passwords, recovery phrases, private keys, backups, and transactions.

4. Wallet security

You must protect wallet secrets and verify every request before approval. Anyone with your recovery phrase or private key may control your assets. We will never ask you to disclose those credentials through this website, email, social media, or support.

5. Blockchain transactions

Transactions may be irreversible after broadcast. Addresses, chains, token contracts, calldata, values, approvals, gas settings, and recipients must be checked before signing. We cannot cancel, reverse, or modify blockchain transactions.

6. Fees and price information

Blockchain networks charge gas fees. Third-party swap, cross-chain, bridge, liquidity, or routing services may impose their own fees or spreads. Quotes can change, expire, fail, or experience slippage. Displayed balances and fiat values are informational estimates and may be delayed or inaccurate.

7. Third-party services

Nora Wallet may communicate with RPC providers, dApps, token contracts, websites, price sources, and route providers. Those services are not controlled by us and may be unavailable, insecure, inaccurate, or governed by separate terms. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

8. Digital-asset risks

Digital assets involve substantial risk, including loss of value, smart-contract vulnerabilities, malicious tokens, phishing, regulatory changes, network failures, forks, and loss of access. Nora Wallet does not guarantee the value, legitimacy, safety, or availability of any asset, dApp, route, or network.

9. No financial advice

Nora Wallet provides software tools, not financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Nothing displayed by the Services is a recommendation or guarantee.

10. Prohibited conduct

  • Use the Services to violate law, sanctions, or third-party rights.
  • Distribute malware, attack infrastructure, or interfere with other users.
  • Misrepresent Nora Wallet or create deceptive official-looking services.
  • Bypass access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
  • Use the Services in a manner that exposes another person's credentials or assets.

11. Beta and experimental features

Some functions, including newer swap, cross-chain, NFT, or Token Bound Account workflows, may be identified as beta or experimental. They may change or be removed and can have additional technical risk.

12. Intellectual property

Nora Wallet and its original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses. These Terms do not grant rights to trademarks or branding except as expressly permitted.

13. Availability and updates

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services. Updates can alter features, permissions, providers, supported networks, or compatibility. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, accuracy, or availability.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nora Wallet and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost assets, lost profits, lost data, unauthorized access, failed transactions, or third-party conduct arising from use of the Services.

16. Indemnification

Where permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the operator and contributors harmless from claims arising from your unlawful use, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

17. Termination

You may stop using Nora Wallet at any time. Removing the extension does not reverse blockchain activity. We may restrict access to hosted services when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

18. Governing law and disputes

This section must be completed with the operator's governing law, courts or arbitration process, consumer-rights exceptions, and legal address before publication.

19. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

20. Contact

Questions may be sent to legal@norawallet.io. Replace this placeholder before publication.
